Mauritius visa checker
Which residence route fits my plans?
Up to nine short questions about what you want to do on the island, your age, the salary, savings or budget involved and who is coming with you. It sorts each route into one that fits what you entered, one that would fit if something changed, or a later step such as permanent residence, and shows what each needs. Decisions rest with the Economic Development Board, the Prime Minister’s Office and the Passport and Immigration Office, so treat the result as a starting point and read the guide for each route.

Cost to move to Mauritius calculator
What will the move cost before I have even unpacked?
Choose your residence route, who is coming, any pets and whether you will bring a car or buy one, and it lists the costs it can price line by line: permit fees, pet import and quarantine fees, duty, rent for the months you choose to pay up front, and a first month of bills (the electricity energy charge, home internet and mobile). Each line says where its figure comes from, and rent is left out where too few listings turned up. Flights, shipping, health insurance, notary fees, a car bought on the island and any other cost with no published price we could check are not in the totals. They come as a list of quotes to get rather than a guess.

Where to live in Mauritius quiz
Which part of the island suits the way I want to live?
Five questions on your household, the places you need to reach, your rent budget, climate and whether you want the coast, plus one on schools for families. It names the closest match and two runners-up, each with free-flow drive times (no traffic), the schools within about 20 minutes, asking rents from online listings where enough turned up and local climate averages, so you can see why it came up. No area is ranked as the best: the quiz shows the evidence and leaves the choice to you.
